New for 2019 (Plus, highlights from Orlando!)

What are the biggest promotional trends for 2019?

We saw quite a few of them at the ASI trade show in Orlando. From clothing items to decoration methods to new products, we’ve got you covered.

Why do trends matter? Promotional items have moved beyond pens and coffee mugs. The industry is becoming much more retail-based. That means staying on-trend is more important than ever.

Providing the coolest, new items will keep people excited about your company. (That’s always a good thing!)

You already know this, but Millennials are most likely your biggest target market. They’re the majority of the workforce, and they probably are a growing number of your clients. So, what’s important to this group? Comfort and convenience are a must, as you’ll see in the trends for this year.

Athleisure is a huge trend right now with athletic-inspired looks for everyday wear. Comfort is key here. This includes everything from running shoes to breezy sweaters to yoga pants and leggings.

Another recent trend is fannypacks and sling bags. We said that comfort and convenience were huge right now. Well, these accessories are the ultimate in convenience.

One trend we noticed at the Orlando show was plaid. Plaid has been popular for a while now, but it’s still going strong, especially in men’s fashion.

living coral

Color trends are constantly changing. What’s hot right now is having one unique color that pops. Pantone announced it’s 2019 Color of the Year as Living Coral. We definitely saw plenty of coral around the show!

What materials are popular right now? Recently, there’s been a huge move towards more natural and classic materials. This includes leather, cork, wood, neutral metals, and, often, a mix of these.

A trend we’re loving right now is heather gray. This unique fabric goes along with the resurgence towards natural and classic materials. It goes with anything, and provides a timeless, classic vibe for your brand.

travel accessories

Travel accessories are in high demand right now. People are travelling more than ever. From luggage tags to travel pillows to weekend bags, give your clients the items they want and need. Check out our post about ladies travel apparel for more ideas.

essential oils

One trend that might be surprising in the promotional sphere is essential oils. These are hugely popular right now. Show your clients and employees you care about their health and well-being with a branded essential oils kit.

Another big aspect of health and wellness is fitness. Now more than ever, people care deeply about maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. There are endless promotional products that cater to this need – water bottles, fitness trackers, activewear, you name it.

Whatever your promotional needs, Dimensional Marketing is here to help! Check out our website for lots of cool products, or shoot us an email if you’re not sure where to get started.

Was it a ruff week? Not for us.

Last week, we had a very special visitor in our office, Laddie. He’s a 6-month-old Cocker Spaniel puppy. His owner, our team member, Mary, brought him in for a day filled with fun and shenanigans.

We shamelessly peddled our promotional goods to Laddie, who ate them right up. He LOVED his new (stress) ball. Whenever Laddie gets excited, he wiggles his butt like crazy. Also, when he’s excited, he has to hold something in his mouth. It’s the weirdest, cutest habit ever. Luckily, he had his new, favorite ball with him.

Our staff put the ball to even better use, and he had a blast playing fetch in our hall.

Well, he was pretty exhausted from all the fun and needed some water. He really went for it, too, drinking it all the way to the very bottom.

After all that craziness and excitement, we thought we’d just have ourselves a sit and look out the window. Sometimes, we enjoy the simpler things in life. (1)

Dimensional Marketing offers high quality branded merchandise. We have some great stuff here, just ask Laddie! We loved having him and can’t wait for our next Puppy Day!

The Essentials: Her Travel Apparel

The Essentials: Her Travel Apparel

From our friends at Cutter & Buck..

One of the allures of travel is experiencing new vistas and new activities. But those discoveries can also come with cramped airplane seats, long car rides and unfamiliar weather patterns.

Comfort begins by making sure you have what you need for the entire journey. Start by choosing clothing that fits well, moves with you and layers easily. Make sure every piece can do double duty with other items you’re packing, and choose mostly wrinkle-resistant fabrics.

The right clothes go a long way toward making every part of travel more comfortable.  Here’s where to start:

Travel light around town or on the trail, while stashing your key card, credit card and cash in the zippered arm pocket. The mock neck provides a bit of extra protection from the elements, while moisture-wicking fabric adds comfort to vacation recreation.

A bit of spandex creates a moves-with-you fabric, while a pull-on waistband adds to the ultimate comfort of these versatile pants. They come in black to match all your tops. The invisible zip pockets maintains flattering lines, while UPF 50+ fabric provides excellent UV protection.

Sandpoint jacket

A must-have for the well-organized traveler, this quilted jacket zips into its own pocket, keeping your carry-on or daypack easy to navigate.  This wind- and water-resistant layer has knit accent pieces for additional comfort.  Check out the Sandpoint Vest too.

When it’s too warm for a jacket but too cool for a sweatshirt, get the best of both worlds with the Stealth. This heathered full-zip allows you to keep your core cozy with weather resistant quilt panels, and keep your arms free and mobile with moisture-wicking knit jersey

Lakemont Cardigan

Perfect for alfresco or beachfront dinners, this chic and classic cardigan fits the bill when evening temperatures call for a cover-up to your sleeveless dress or top. Also available in a V-neck sweater.

Ultra-flattering colorblock detailing will soon make this your favorite mid-weight jacket.  This jacket has cozy fleece lining and a zipper for easy layering.

Rally Split neck

This is not your basic tee.  Modern details include split-neck design, center seam, and unfinished cuffs and hem, while 100% cotton recalls our favorite traditional t-shirts.

Clare Polo

Take advantage of fine weather by baring your arms. Tonal microstripes add a nice touch to wrinkle-resistant, high-UPF fabric.

Hiking near waterfalls or heading out on the boat? This packable jacket will keep you comfortable with its wind- and wind-resistant fabric and classic styling. The mock neck conceals a hood in case of sudden showers.

A classic button-down shirt is an essential wardrobe piece, even when traveling. This versatile shirt can be dressed up with slacks or worn casually open over a tank top.

Why Your Company Should Think Pink This October

October is upon us, and that means it’s time to THINK PINK! Right now, it’s more important than ever to show support. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Pink is everywhere, and awareness of the disease is at an all-time high. However, research still has a long way to go.

  • In the United States today, 110 women die every day from breast cancer. That number is barely down from 119 each day in 1991.
  • 1 out of every 8 women will develop breast cancer in her life.
  • Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death in women (second only to lung cancer).

Despite all of the pink ribbon hype every October, breast cancer remains a serious problem. The public has very positive feelings about supporting this cause, but they’re more scrutinizing than ever. It’s not enough to just plaster pink everywhere. It’s important to back it up with meaningful action. Make sure any donations are going to a responsible organization.

Show your support by going pink!

If your company has any events in October, there are countless promotional products that look good in pink! Hand out tote bags, water bottles, or pins for participants to remember you by. Give away pens, shirts, or magnets to clients and employees. They’ll take these pink items with them out into the world, showing everyone how charitable and socially conscious your company is.

We’re here for all of your pink promotional needs! For any breast cancer awareness items sold through October, Dimensional Marketing will donate a portion of the proceeds to the cause.
